Quick answer: Since November 4, 2026, Google AI Mode in the US can show local home service providers with direct links to book a time or request a quote. The links come from partners: Angi, Thumbtack, Housecall Pro and Jobber, with ServiceTitan coming soon. To be included, a business needs an eligible account on one of those platforms, plus a strong Google Business Profile and reviews.
Key takeaways
- Google AI Mode now sends home service searches straight to partner booking and quote pages. It is available in the US only.
- The named partners are Angi, Thumbtack, Housecall Pro and Jobber. ServiceTitan is listed as coming soon.
- Jobber says there are no lead fees for AI Mode requests, but you need a paid subscription, a connected Google Business Profile and a matching address.
- Housecall Pro says its pros are enrolled automatically, with no lead fee and no Google Business Profile required.
- Google has not explained how it chooses which businesses to show. The partners point to availability, service area and reviews.
- If you use none of these platforms, AI Mode has no direct booking route to you yet, so your profile, reviews and website carry more weight.
What changed in Google AI Mode for home services?
On November 4, 2026, Google’s Search VP Robby Stein announced that AI Mode now shows direct booking and quote links for home services in the US. When someone asks AI Mode for a handyman, plumber or cleaner, it can list local providers with their ratings, open appointment times and a link to book or request a quote through a partner platform.
Search Engine Journal reported the launch with an example search for a handyman to build a bed and dresser the next day. AI Mode listed local handymen with online availability, showed each provider’s rating and a short description, and displayed open time slots for the first listing. Other providers in the list offered quotes instead of bookings.
This follows what Google said at I/O in May 2026. In its “A new era for AI Search” post, Google said agentic booking would expand to more local services, with direct links to finish booking through the provider of your choice, and that people could ask Google to call businesses in categories such as home repair, beauty and pet care. Google said those booking features would roll out to everyone in the US over the summer. The November update connects that booking flow to the software and marketplaces many trades already use.
What are AI Mode booking and quote links?
AI Mode is the conversational search experience inside Google Search, where people ask longer questions and get an AI-written answer with links. Booking and quote links are buttons or links inside that answer that take the searcher to a partner’s booking form or quote request page, so they can pick a time or ask for a price without leaving the search journey.
There are two kinds of link, and the difference matters for how you set up your account:
- Booking links show open time slots pulled from your scheduling software. The customer picks a slot and the booking lands in your system.
- Quote links send the customer to a request form or a marketplace profile, where they describe the job and ask for a price.
For Jobber users, Jobber’s announcement says requests from AI Mode are captured automatically in the business’s Jobber account, where they can be reviewed and approved before they are added to the schedule.
How do the new booking and quote links work?
A homeowner describes a job in AI Mode. Google lists local providers with ratings, short descriptions and, where the data exists, open time slots. The homeowner clicks to book or request a quote, and the request goes into the provider’s partner software or marketplace inbox, where the business accepts, declines or replies as it normally would.

- The search. Someone asks AI Mode for a service, often with a time, such as “a handyman tomorrow” or “a plumber this weekend”.
- The shortlist. AI Mode lists local providers with a rating, a description and, for booking-enabled businesses, available times.
- The click. The searcher picks a time or asks for a quote through the partner’s form or profile page.
- The request. The request arrives in the business’s partner account. Jobber says businesses can review and approve requests before they are added to the schedule. Housecall Pro sends requests to the pro’s Job Inbox with an automatic reply.
Which platforms send bookings into AI Mode, and what do they charge?
Five platforms are named so far. Jobber and Housecall Pro say there are no lead fees for AI Mode requests. Angi sends homeowners to the pro’s Angi profile, and it has not said whether its usual fees apply. Thumbtack had not announced its plan as of November 4, and ServiceTitan is listed as coming soon.
| Platform | Status (Nov 4, 2026) | Where the customer lands | Lead fees for AI Mode requests | Google Business Profile needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jobber | Live for eligible US accounts | Your Jobber booking or request form | None, per Jobber | Yes, connected and at the same address |
| Housecall Pro | Partner page says live; its release, as reported, says coming soon | Your Job Inbox in Housecall Pro | None, per Housecall Pro | No, per its partner page |
| Angi | Announced | The pro’s Angi profile, to request a quote | Not stated | Not stated |
| Thumbtack | Named by Google, no announcement yet | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced |
| ServiceTitan | Coming soon | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced |
The fee point is worth a closer look. Google’s own Local Services Ads help page lists a booking request from a customer as a lead that advertisers pay for in the United States and Canada. The Jobber and Housecall Pro terms are different: they describe AI Mode requests as free to receive on top of your existing subscription. Angi’s annual report says pros pay for consumer matches, but its AI Mode announcement does not say whether that applies here, so ask your Angi rep before you assume either way.

Who is affected by this change?
US home service businesses are affected first: plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, roofers, cleaners, handymen, landscapers and similar trades. Businesses already on Jobber, Housecall Pro or Angi may start getting AI Mode requests with little or no setup. Businesses on none of the partner platforms have no direct booking route through AI Mode for now.
For owners in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, nothing changes today, because Stein’s announcement says the feature is available in the US. It is still worth paying attention. Google’s help page on checking local availability in AI Mode already describes researching home services and comparing pricing, and Google tends to expand AI Mode features to more countries over time. The groundwork that helps US businesses here, a complete profile and steady reviews, helps you everywhere.
Lead-generation spend is also affected. If a share of searchers start booking straight from AI Mode, some of the jobs that used to come through paid leads or a click to your website may arrive through your scheduling software instead. That makes it more important to track where each booking came from.
How does a home service business get included?
You get included through a partner platform, not by applying to Google. Use one of the named platforms, meet its eligibility rules, connect your Google Business Profile where required and turn on online booking. Then give AI Mode reasons to recommend you: accurate details, a clear service area, real availability and a steady flow of reviews.
If you use Jobber
According to Search Engine Journal’s report on Jobber’s announcement, eligible US businesses receive these requests with no lead fees, and need:
- An active, paid Jobber subscription. Trial accounts do not appear.
- A Google Business Profile connected to Jobber.
- A matching business address in Jobber and on the Google Business Profile.
Jobber says requests are captured automatically in your account, and you can review and approve them before they are added to the schedule. Make sure your phone number and website match your Google Business Profile, offer online booking where your software allows it so customers can pick a time, and keep collecting reviews.
If you use Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro’s partner page says every pro is enrolled automatically, there is nothing to switch on, and a separate Google Business Profile is not required. It says customers are matched to pros based on real-time availability, service area and reviews, and that open times come from your Housecall Pro calendar. That makes an up-to-date calendar and accurate service area the main things you control.
If you use Angi, Thumbtack or ServiceTitan
For Angi, homeowners who choose an Angi pro in AI Mode go to that pro’s Angi profile to learn more and request a quote, so a complete profile with recent reviews is your shop window. Thumbtack and ServiceTitan had not published details at launch. Watch their help centers and ask your account manager what eligibility and fees will look like.
If you use none of these platforms
You can still appear in AI Mode answers through your Google Business Profile, reviews and website, but you will not get the direct booking button. Google’s help page also says AI Mode may call a business when the information it needs, such as the earliest appointment, is not online. Answer those calls, and keep your hours and services current so the information is there in the first place.
What should home service businesses do now?
Start with the platform you already use: check eligibility, turn on online booking and confirm your address, phone and website match your Google Business Profile. Then work on the signals the partners say matter, which are availability, service area and reviews, and start tracking AI Mode bookings separately so you can see whether the channel pays off.

- Check your platform’s eligibility. Read your partner’s AI Mode help page and confirm your plan qualifies. For Jobber, that means a paid plan, not a trial.
- Match your details everywhere. Your business name, address, phone and website should be identical in your software, on your Google Business Profile and on your site. If your listings are messy, our guide to fixing inconsistent NAP across listings walks through the cleanup.
- Offer real booking, not just a contact form. Where your software allows it, publish bookable times. Jobber says a booking form helps more than a request form alone.
- Keep your calendar and service area honest. Open slots and service areas feed the matching. Block time you can’t take, and don’t list towns you won’t drive to.
- Ask every happy customer for a review. Both Jobber and Housecall Pro name reviews as a factor in who gets recommended.
- Tag the source. Label AI Mode bookings in your software or CRM so you can compare their cost and job value with paid lead sources over the next few months.
Does this mean organic local SEO matters less?
No. AI Mode still builds its answer from information about your business, and Google has not said how it picks which providers to show. Your Google Business Profile, reviews, service pages and consistent listings are what make you a credible pick in the first place, whether or not the final click is a booking button.
If anything, the booking link raises the stakes on the basics. A provider with a strong profile and a working booking form can turn an AI Mode mention into a scheduled job in one step. A provider with thin details may not be shown at all. We covered the paid side of this shift in our post on Google Ads inside AI Mode, and the trade-specific groundwork in SEO for plumbers.

Frequently asked questions
Is AI Mode booking available outside the US?
Not yet. Google’s announcement says the booking and quote links are available in the US. There is no announced date for the UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, so businesses there should focus on their Google Business Profile, reviews and website while they wait.
Do I pay Google for bookings from AI Mode?
Google has not announced a fee for these links. Jobber and Housecall Pro both say AI Mode requests carry no lead fees on top of your subscription. Angi has not said whether its usual fees apply. Local Services Ads are separate and do charge for booking requests in the US and Canada.
Do I need a Google Business Profile to appear?
It depends on the platform. Jobber requires a Google Business Profile connected at the same address as your Jobber account. Housecall Pro says its integration works without a separate profile. A complete profile still helps, because AI Mode answers draw on your ratings and business details.
How does Google decide which businesses to show?
Google has not published how it selects businesses for these listings. Housecall Pro says matches are based on real-time availability, service area and reviews. Accurate details and recent reviews are the safest things to work on.
Can I stop AI Mode bookings if I am too busy?
Jobber lets you review and approve requests before they are added to your schedule. The steps for pausing or leaving the program differ by platform, so check your software settings or ask your provider.
What should your business do next?
If you serve US customers and already use Jobber, Housecall Pro or Angi, check your eligibility and booking settings this week, because AI Mode requests may already be reaching you. If you use none of them, or you’re outside the US, put your effort into a complete profile, consistent listings and fresh reviews so you are ready when booking links reach you. Trade-specific help is on our plumbing SEO, HVAC SEO and roofing SEO pages, and our full SEO services at SERP Master Agency cover the profile, listings and website work behind AI Mode visibility.
